The UNSW conference was held last night and no.. they didn't tell us the truth but we've sort of figured out whats going on anyway, its not that tough when the sg govt's involved. Still, the conference was a bad one, it doesn't sound like a conference at all, more of an announcement. The two essential figures were not there; vice-chancellor and EDB. And because of that, the Q&A were horrible. Imagine this, the moment a question was raised on the whereabouts of the vice-chancellor, the spokesman actually mumbled something, said good evening, and scrambled off the stage. YES SCRAMBLED. Aren't UNSW smart? Appointing a spokesperson knowing he is powerless to make any comments or accept suggestions from the public. We know what most of the people are thinking; UNSW has already done their best for us, we know it, the fault lies in EDB too, get them here now. Really, our PM went personally to UNSW to invite them over, and now the govt left them to die, best still, their CITIZENS to die.
The hero of the day really was this asian guy. He took the microphone, went to the front, faced everyone and said this "I've been living in singapore for 6 years, and now i've seen this country's true colours." Excellent, welcome to singapore.
