i was on the way home and i passed by this private child care centre, you know those landed properties along mountbatten rd, and i saw this on a HUGE wooden signboard hanged upon the railing of the top balcony:
there are 8 cats on a boat, 1 jumped off, how many are there left?
0. they are all copycats.
WTF?! What kind of children are they gonna bring up seriously?! its not even a intelligent question! Won't it be much better if they posted stuffs like:
there are 10 birds on a tree branch, a hunter shot one down, how many are there left?
0. cause the rest flew away.
At least that made sense! it is ludicrous for a child care centre to be broadcasting such lame jokes. You're supposed to be taking care of the child; read CHILD CARE, and not devoiding the children of proper wisdom.
gosh, i can so imagine the graduates to come up to me and say this:
child: jie jie! do you know why was the Tomato blushing?
me: why darling?
child: Because he saw the salad dressing!
and then he/she will hop off grinning to him/herself happily while i stand there jaw-dropped.
ok.. maybe that won't be too bad, the top student of the year would probably say:
child: jie jie! do you know why didn't the chicken cross the road?
me: why darling?
child: Because he was too chicken
*SMACK FOREHEAD*
