i watched this movie twice in a week. hahas! got it in a disc. YEA! oh yes.. its hell goood!! It moves slowly but not in any way boring.
well.. it is memoirs of a geisha so naturally the story starts from when Sayuri (Zhang Ziyi) was a child.. how she learn the existence of geishas and why she wanted to be one.. the reason might be stupid.. but nonetheless.. pure
It also illustrates the burden of being popular: Rivalries and Obsessions.
I guess the bottomline of the movie is that the pain one suffers when something important is taken away is incomparable. The hatred that follows up is pretty scary.. in this case was burning down a house and betrayal.
ohhh.. the director or whoever was it who chose the casts.. you're good. They protrayed their roles flawlessly. wooot
and one last IMPORTANT thing.. the young sayuri is soooo cute!!! (:
